negotiation auto<br />

• Auto-neg Error—typically indicates that both ends of <strong>the</strong> node are configured with<br />

<strong>for</strong>ced-master or <strong>for</strong>ced-slave.<br />

Caution: Ensure that one end of your node is configured as <strong>for</strong>ced-master and one is<br />

configured as <strong>for</strong>ced-slave. If both are configured <strong>the</strong> same (that is <strong>for</strong>ced-master or<br />

<strong>for</strong>ced-slave), <strong>the</strong> show interfaces command will flap between an auto-neg-error and<br />

<strong>for</strong>ced-master/slave states.<br />
