Item Description<br />

LS Seq Number Identifies <strong>the</strong> link state sequence number. This number enables you to<br />

identify old or duplicate LSAs.<br />

Checksum Displays <strong>the</strong> Fletcher checksum of an LSA’s complete contents.<br />

Length Displays <strong>the</strong> length in bytes of <strong>the</strong> LSA.<br />

Network Mask Displays <strong>the</strong> network mask implemented on <strong>the</strong> area.<br />

Metrics Type Displays <strong>the</strong> external type.<br />

TOS Displays <strong>the</strong> TOS options. Option 0 is <strong>the</strong> only option.<br />

Metrics Displays <strong>the</strong> LSA metric.<br />

Forward Address Identifies <strong>the</strong> address of <strong>the</strong> <strong>for</strong>warding router. Data traffic is <strong>for</strong>warded to<br />

this router. If <strong>the</strong> <strong>for</strong>warding address is 0.0.0.0, data traffic is <strong>for</strong>warded to<br />

<strong>the</strong> originating router.<br />

External Route Tag Displays <strong>the</strong> 32-bit field attached to each external route. This field is not<br />

used by <strong>the</strong> OSPF protocol, but can be used <strong>for</strong> external route<br />

management.<br />

show ip ospf database Displays OSPF database in<strong>for</strong>mation.<br />

link-state-id (OPTIONAL) Specify LSA ID in dotted decimal <strong>for</strong>mat. The LSA ID value<br />

depends on <strong>the</strong> LSA type, and it can be one of <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

• <strong>the</strong> network’s IP address <strong>for</strong> Type 3 LSAs or Type 5 LSAs<br />

• <strong>the</strong> router’s OSPF router ID <strong>for</strong> Type 1 LSAs or Type 4 LSAs<br />

• <strong>the</strong> default destination (0.0.0.0) <strong>for</strong> Type 5 LSAs<br />
