Items Description<br />

“Timer intervals...” This line displays <strong>the</strong> timer values assigned to <strong>the</strong> virtual link. The<br />

timers are Hello is hello-interval, Dead is dead-interval, Wait is<br />

transmit-delay, and Retransmit is retransmit-interval.<br />

“Hello due...” This line displays <strong>the</strong> amount of time until <strong>the</strong> next Hello packet is<br />

expected from <strong>the</strong> neighbor router.<br />

“Adjacency State...” This line displays <strong>the</strong> adjacency state between neighbors.<br />

ip-address Specify <strong>the</strong> IP address in dotted decimal <strong>for</strong>mat of <strong>the</strong> address to be<br />

summarized.<br />

mask Specify <strong>the</strong> mask in dotted decimal <strong>for</strong>mat of <strong>the</strong> address to be summarized.<br />

not-advertise (OPTIONAL) Enter <strong>the</strong> keyword not-advertise to suppress that match <strong>the</strong><br />

network prefix/mask pair.<br />

tag tag-value (OPTIONAL) Enter <strong>the</strong> keyword tag followed by a value to match on routes<br />

redistributed through a route map.<br />

The command area range summarizes routes <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> different areas.<br />

With "not-advertise" parameter configured, this command can be used to filter out some<br />

external routes. For example, you want to redistribute static routes to OSPF, but you don't<br />

want OSPF to advertise routes with prefix 1.1.0.0. Then you can configure<br />

summary-address 1.1.0.0 255.255.0.0 not-advertise to filter out all <strong>the</strong><br />

routes fall in range 1.1.0.0/16.<br />

area range Summarizes routes within an area.<br />
