To enter MULTIPLE SPANNING TREE mode:
1. Verify that you are logged into the CONFIGURATION mode.
2. Enter the protocol spanning-tree mstp command.
You can return to the CONFIGURATION mode by entering the exit command.
PROTOCOL GVRP Mode
Use the protocol gvrp command to enter PROTOCOL GVRP mode and enable and
configure GARP VLAN Registration Protocol (GVRP) on the E-Series.
To enter PROTOCOL GVRP mode:
Step 1 Verify that you are logged into the CONFIGURATION mode.
Step 2 Enter the protocol gvrp command syntax.
You can return to the CONFIGURATION mode by entering the exit command.
PROTOCOL FVRP Mode
Use the protocol fvrp command to enter the PROTOCOL FVRP mode and enable Force10
VLAN Redundancy Protocol (FVRP) globally on the E-Series.
To enter the PROTOCOL FVRP mode:
1. Verify that you are logged into the CONFIGURATION mode.
2. Enter the protocol fvrp command.
You can return to the CONFIGURATION mode by entering the exit command. To configure
FVRP on an interface, you change to that interface by using the interface interface
command.
ROUTER OSPF Mode
Use the router ospf command to enter the ROUTER OSPF mode and configure OSPF on
the switch.
To enter ROUTER OSPF:
1. Verify that you are logged into the CONFIGURATION mode.
