To enter MULTIPLE SPANNING TREE mode:<br />

1. Verify that you are logged into <strong>the</strong> CONFIGURATION mode.<br />

2. Enter <strong>the</strong> protocol spanning-tree mstp command.<br />

You can return to <strong>the</strong> CONFIGURATION mode by entering <strong>the</strong> exit command.<br />

PROTOCOL GVRP Mode<br />

Use <strong>the</strong> protocol gvrp command to enter PROTOCOL GVRP mode and enable and<br />

configure GARP VLAN Registration Protocol (GVRP) on <strong>the</strong> E-<strong>Series</strong>.<br />

To enter PROTOCOL GVRP mode:<br />

Step 1 Verify that you are logged into <strong>the</strong> CONFIGURATION mode.<br />

Step 2 Enter <strong>the</strong> protocol gvrp command syntax.<br />

You can return to <strong>the</strong> CONFIGURATION mode by entering <strong>the</strong> exit command.<br />

PROTOCOL FVRP Mode<br />

Use <strong>the</strong> protocol fvrp command to enter <strong>the</strong> PROTOCOL FVRP mode and enable <strong>Force10</strong><br />

VLAN Redundancy Protocol (FVRP) globally on <strong>the</strong> E-<strong>Series</strong>.<br />

To enter <strong>the</strong> PROTOCOL FVRP mode:<br />

1. Verify that you are logged into <strong>the</strong> CONFIGURATION mode.<br />

2. Enter <strong>the</strong> protocol fvrp command.<br />

You can return to <strong>the</strong> CONFIGURATION mode by entering <strong>the</strong> exit command. To configure<br />

FVRP on an interface, you change to that interface by using <strong>the</strong> interface interface<br />

command.<br />

ROUTER OSPF Mode<br />

Use <strong>the</strong> router ospf command to enter <strong>the</strong> ROUTER OSPF mode and configure OSPF on<br />

<strong>the</strong> switch.<br />

To enter ROUTER OSPF:<br />

1. Verify that you are logged into <strong>the</strong> CONFIGURATION mode.<br />
