Multiple Configuration Users<br />

When a user enters <strong>the</strong> CONFIGURATION mode and ano<strong>the</strong>r user(s) is already in that<br />

configuration mode, <strong>FTOS</strong> generates an alert warning message similar to <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

When ano<strong>the</strong>r user enters <strong>the</strong> configuration mode, <strong>FTOS</strong> sends a message similar to <strong>the</strong><br />

following, in this case “admin” on vty2:<br />

Navigating <strong>the</strong> <strong>Command</strong> Line<br />

The command line prompt changes as you move up and down <strong>the</strong> levels of <strong>the</strong> command<br />

structure. Table 2 lists <strong>the</strong> current prompts and <strong>the</strong>ir corresponding command levels. Starting<br />

with <strong>the</strong> Configuration mode, <strong>the</strong> command prompt adds <strong>the</strong> appropriate modifier to fur<strong>the</strong>r<br />

identify <strong>the</strong> mode. The <strong>FTOS</strong> command modes are explained in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Command</strong> Modes section.<br />

Note: Some of <strong>the</strong> following modes are not available on C-<strong>Series</strong> or S-<strong>Series</strong>.<br />
