To return to <strong>the</strong> default value, enter no priority.<br />

priority Enter a number as <strong>the</strong> priority. Enter 255 only if <strong>the</strong> router’s virtual address is <strong>the</strong><br />

same as <strong>the</strong> interface’s primary IP address (that is, <strong>the</strong> router is <strong>the</strong> OWNER).<br />

Range: 1 to 255.<br />

To guarantee that a VRRP group becomes MASTER, configure <strong>the</strong> VRRP group’s virtual<br />

address with same IP address as <strong>the</strong> interface’s primary IP address and change <strong>the</strong> priority of<br />

<strong>the</strong> VRRP group to 255.<br />

If you set <strong>the</strong> priority to 255 and <strong>the</strong> virtual-address is not equal to <strong>the</strong> interface’s primary IP<br />

address, an error message appears.<br />
