Field Description<br />

<strong>FTOS</strong> supports IGMPv1/v2/v3 and is compliant with RFC-3376.<br />

Important Points to Remember<br />

• <strong>FTOS</strong> supports PIM-SM and PIM-SSM include and exclude modes.<br />

(S,G) Displays <strong>the</strong> <strong>for</strong>warding entry in <strong>the</strong> multicast route table.<br />

uptime Displays <strong>the</strong> amount of time <strong>the</strong> entry has been in <strong>the</strong> multicast<br />

<strong>for</strong>warding table.<br />

Incoming interface Displays <strong>the</strong> reverse path <strong>for</strong>warding (RPF) in<strong>for</strong>mation towards <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> source <strong>for</strong> (S,G) entries and <strong>the</strong> RP <strong>for</strong> (*,G) entries.<br />

Outgoing interface list: Lists <strong>the</strong> interfaces that meet one of <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

• a directly connected member of <strong>the</strong> Group<br />

• statically configured member of <strong>the</strong> Group<br />

• received a (*,G) or (S,G) Join message<br />

• IGMPv2 is <strong>the</strong> default version of IGMP on interfaces. IGMPv3 can be configured on<br />

interfaces, and is backward compatible with IGMPv2.<br />

• The maximum number of interfaces supported is 512.<br />

• Maximum number of groups supported – no hard limit<br />

• IGMPv3 router interoperability with IGMPv2 and IGMPv1 routers on <strong>the</strong> same subnet is<br />

not supported.<br />

• An administrative command (ip igmp version) is added to manually set <strong>the</strong> IGMP<br />

version.<br />

• All commands, previously used <strong>for</strong> IGMPv2, are compatible with IGMPv3.<br />

• ip igmp querier-timeout on page 567<br />

• ip igmp query-interval on page 567<br />
