LENGTH OF SERVICE<br />

The period <strong>of</strong> continuous employment with the company is defined as an<br />

employee's length <strong>of</strong> service. Length <strong>of</strong> service establishes a status for the<br />

employee in considerations relating to certain conditions <strong>of</strong> employment:<br />

1. Job length <strong>of</strong> service is to b.B considered in determining preferences for<br />

certa in matters relating to departmental work fun ctions.<br />

2. Company length <strong>of</strong> service is used in determil1ing eligibility for benefits·and<br />

ce rtain other company matters.<br />

TBE EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK<br />

If an employee loses their handbook or if it becomes damaged in any way, s/be<br />

should notify their supervisor or the Human Resources department, as soon as<br />

possible, to obtain a replacement copy.<br />

THE HUMAN RESOURCES REPllESENTATIVE<br />

The Human Resources Representative is as an information center for both<br />

employees and management. Human Resources plays an important part in<br />

formulating and interpreting company policy and <strong>of</strong>fers help with a variely <strong>of</strong><br />

problems and matters that concern employees and management. A Human<br />

Resources Representative is available to discuss subjects such as<br />

employment/recruitment, benefits, employee records, safety, and disciplinary<br />

problems.<br />

The Human Resources Representative is generally available Monday through<br />

Friday. Appointments may be arranged for a convenient lime to meet.<br />
