three days, due to personal illness or injury, will be ineligible to return to work<br />
until they provide a satisfactory doctor's statement.<br />
(E) Advances: The company will not pay Personal Days prior to use. Pay for<br />
Personal Days will not be issued on a separate check but will be included with<br />
wages for the pay period in which the Personal Day time is used.<br />
(F) Payment on Separation: Accrued Personal Day pay that has not been used<br />
will be paid at the time <strong>of</strong> resignation or termination. Pay for unused Personal<br />
Days is paid at the employee's final rate <strong>of</strong> straight pay. BeCause employees do<br />
not begin to earn Personal Day benefits until they complete 3 months <strong>of</strong><br />
continuous employment, employees who quit or are fired prior to the completion<br />
<strong>of</strong> the third mon th will ridt beg in to participate in the Personal Day plan or earn<br />
any Personal Day benefits with the company. Accordingly, such employees will<br />
not have earned and wi ll not be entitled to receive any payment for Personal Day<br />
benefits upon termination <strong>of</strong> employment. . '.<br />
JURY DUf Y<br />
An employee should notify their supervisor immediately if they receive a notice<br />
to report for jury duty. If you are surnmoned for jury duty service, you will be<br />
paid the difference between jury duty pay and wages for Ihe hours you were<br />
sdleduled to work on the day <strong>of</strong> jury duty once you furnish the payroll<br />
department a statement showing pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> your completion <strong>of</strong> service at the court.<br />
Amounts paid for hours you would have worked are not hours worked for<br />
calculation <strong>of</strong> overtime pay. The maximum period for which this calculation <strong>of</strong><br />
wages will be pa id is 5 days du ring any 1 2~m o n t h pcriod.<br />
VOTING LEAVE<br />
Emp!oyees who are voters may claim necessary time <strong>of</strong>f to vote at statewide<br />
elections under the following provisions <strong>of</strong> the state Elections Code:<br />
If a voter docs not have sufficient lime outside <strong>of</strong>worklllg hours to vote at<br />
a statewide election, the voter may, without loss <strong>of</strong> pay, lake <strong>of</strong>f enough<br />
working time that, when added to the voting time available outside <strong>of</strong><br />
working hours, will enable the votcr to vote.<br />
No more than two hours <strong>of</strong> the time taken <strong>of</strong>f for voting shall be without<br />
loss <strong>of</strong> pay. "TIle time <strong>of</strong>f for voting shall be onJy at the beginning or end <strong>of</strong><br />
the regular working shift, whichever allows the most free time for voting<br />
and the least time <strong>of</strong>f from the regular working shift, unless otilerwise<br />
mutually agreed.<br />
