SUMMARY
The applicant, G&S Transit Management, Inc. DBA City Cab, has been in business since 1994,
and currently holds permits to operate taxicabs in many other cities within Southern California.
The applicant appears to have established himself in the community. The Company is in full
compliance with insurance requirements and the City is satisfied with the applicant's service to
date.
The applicant is seeking 10 renew permits for fifteen (15) vehicles already operating in Glendale.
In the opinion of City slaff, the applicant submitted adequate evidence to show that renewing the
permits for 15 City Cab taxis would be appropriate at this time.
Currently, the City of Glendale has a taxicab cap of 82; thus no more than 82 taxicabs are
allowed to legally operate in the City at one·time, unless the Transportation & Parking
Commission (TPC) or City Council alters the cap. At this time, 81 taxicabs have received
permits to operate in the City.
Since City Cab wishes 10 renew permits to operate fifteen (15) vehicles in Glendale, and not
increase Iheir fleet in the City, and since they are in good standing, slaff respectfully
recommends that the Transportalion & Parking Commission approve the application for renewal
of an owner's permit to operate 15 taxicab vehicles in Glendale by G&S Transit Management,
Inc. DBA CIIy Cab. A motion is attached for the Commission's consideration.
