POliCY AGAINST UNLAWFUL HARASSMENT<br />
It is the policy <strong>of</strong> the company to provide a work environment Ihat is entirely free<br />
from all types <strong>of</strong> unlawfu l harassment, including sexual harassment and<br />
harassm ent based on race, sex, naUonal origin, disabi lity, sexual orientation,<br />
religion, age or any olher characterislic protected by state or federal law. This<br />
policy applies to all employer agents and employees, including supervisors and<br />
nonsupervisory employees. Furthermore, it prohibits unlawful harassment in<br />
any form, including verbal, physical and visual harassment. It also prohibits<br />
retaliation <strong>of</strong> any kind against individuals who file valid complaints or who assist<br />
in a company investigation.<br />

, such as epithets, derogatory jokes or comments, slurs<br />
or unwanted sexual advances, invitations or comments.<br />
> VISUAL CONDUCT, such as derogatory or sexually-oriented posters,<br />
cartoQns, drawings or gestures.<br />
> PHYSICAL CONDUCT, such as assault, blocking normal movement, or<br />
interfe~ence with work, which conduct is directed at an employee because <strong>of</strong><br />
her/his sex or other protected characteristic.<br />
> USE OF COMPUTERS, including the Internet and the e-mail system.to<br />
transmit, communicate or receive sexually suggestive, pornographic or<br />
sexually explicit pictures, messages or material.<br />
> THREATS AND DEMANDS to submit to sexual requests in order to keep a<br />
job or avoid some other loss, and <strong>of</strong>fers <strong>of</strong> job benefits in return for sexual<br />
favors. -<br />
> RETALIATION for having reported the harassment.<br />
Sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to, making unwanted sexual<br />
advances and requ ests for sexual fa vors where either (1) submission to such<br />
conduct is made an explicit or implicit term or condition <strong>of</strong> employment; (2)<br />
submission to or rejection <strong>of</strong> such conduct by an individual is used as the basis<br />
for employment decisions affecting such individual; or (3) such conduct has the<br />
purpose or effect <strong>of</strong> substantially interfering with an individual's work performance<br />
or creating an intimidating, hostile or <strong>of</strong>fensive working environment. The<br />
following is a Dartiallist <strong>of</strong> types <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fensive behavior, which constitute sexual<br />
harassment.<br />
):> Unwanted sexual advances.<br />
):> Offering employment benefits in exchange for sexuat favors.<br />
):> Making or threatening reprisals after a negative response to sexual advance.<br />
> Visual conduct: leering, making sexual gestures, displaying <strong>of</strong> sexually<br />
suggestive objects or pictures, cartoons, Internet screens, or posters.<br />
> Verbal conduct: making or using derogatory comments, epithets, slurs,<br />
sexually explicit jokes, comments about an another's body or dress either<br />
