Maintenance/Administrative Employees whose regularly scheduled hours<br />

are different than eight (8) hours per day shall receive holiday pay <strong>of</strong> their<br />

regularly scheduled hours at straight time, in accordance with rates <strong>of</strong> pay<br />

in Schedule "A" attached, subject to the conditions and restrictions as<br />

provided herein.<br />

Any full-time Employee who regularly works a work week <strong>of</strong> less than five<br />

(5) days per week shall be paid their regular daily total <strong>of</strong> hours.<br />

13.05 Probationary Employees will be eligible to qualify for holiday pay as<br />

provided by the Employment Standards Act.<br />

13.06 Where an Employee volunteers to work on a designated holiday which is<br />

his <strong>of</strong>f-day, he will be paid at one and one-half (11/2) times the regular rate,<br />

in addition to the holiday pay provided for in Article 13.01 <strong>of</strong> this article if<br />

qualified in all respects.<br />

13.07<br />

Statutory holiday service requirements in the Inspector group shall be<br />

provided first by the Inspectors normally required to work on the day on<br />

which the statutory holiday falls, provided they are qualified and capable <strong>of</strong><br />

performing the required duties. If any such Inspectors request the day <strong>of</strong>f,<br />

their requests will be allowed on a classification seniority basis if sufficient<br />

volunteers are available to meet the Company's service requirements.<br />

However, if there are no volunteers available, Acting Inspectors will be<br />

asked to work the statutory holiday.<br />

ARTICLE 14- VACATIONS WITH PAY<br />

14.01 (Article 14.01 -Effective 2012, to be taken 2013)<br />

The level <strong>of</strong> vacation entitlement in any given calendar year shall be<br />

based on the length <strong>of</strong> continuous service on the books <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> (HSR)<br />

as a permanent Employee as <strong>of</strong> June 30th <strong>of</strong> the year the vacation is<br />

taken with the exception noted in Section 14.03.<br />

Number <strong>of</strong> full years' service completed on or before June 30th <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Vacation Year.<br />
