Employees whose tool kit does not contain at least the required<br />

tools for the applicable classification will be paid a reduced prorated<br />

allowance based on the actual value as determined by the<br />

method used in Section 37.07 (b). The pro-rated allowance will be a<br />

proportion <strong>of</strong> the allowance described in either Section 37.07 (c) or<br />

Section 37.07 (d).<br />

(f) The twelve (12) month period for tool allowance will be from 1<br />

November <strong>of</strong> the previous year to 31 October <strong>of</strong> the current year.<br />

ADMINISTRATIVE<br />

A tool allowance will be paid on the twenty-fourth (24th) pay each year to<br />

each eligible Foreman provided he/she has worked at least nine (9)<br />

months in the job classification in the previous twelve (12) months. This<br />

allowance will be pro-rated over nine (9) months for any employee who<br />

has worked less<br />

(a)<br />

Tool list a will be changed as required by the Manager <strong>of</strong> Fleet<br />

Maintenance and revalued once each year using price lists<br />

available on the first (1st) day <strong>of</strong> November.<br />

The value will be an average <strong>of</strong> Snap-On and one other brand<br />

name price list chosen by the Manager <strong>of</strong> Fleet Maintenance.<br />

The tool allowance shall be seven percent (7%) <strong>of</strong> the value <strong>of</strong> the<br />

applicable than nine (9) months in the previous twelve (12) months.<br />

A list <strong>of</strong> tools required will be maintained by the Manager <strong>of</strong> Fleet<br />

Maintenance required tool list:<br />

(i)<br />

(ii)<br />

providing the employee has maintained the required tools at<br />

his place <strong>of</strong> work during the year, and<br />

can show receipts <strong>of</strong> purchase for at least the amount <strong>of</strong> the<br />

allowance. Receipts over the required amount in any given<br />

year may be carried over and used in either <strong>of</strong> the following<br />

two (2) years.<br />

(d)<br />

Foremen whose tool kit does not contain at least the required tools<br />

will be paid an allowance based on the actual value as determined<br />

by the method used in 37.07 (b) Administrative.<br />

37.08 MAINTENANCE: A safety footwear and winter wear allowance <strong>of</strong> fourhundred<br />

dollars ($400.00) will be paid on the twenty-fourth (24th) pay <strong>of</strong><br />
