ARTICLE 39- BULLETIN BOARDS<br />

39.01 If the <strong>Union</strong> desires to post notices on the property, such notices shall be<br />

first submitted to the Management for approval. Neither the <strong>City</strong> (HSR) nor<br />

the <strong>Union</strong> shall make any changes in such notices thereafter.<br />

39.02 A Bulletin Board will be provided by the <strong>City</strong> (HSR) for notices and no<br />

notice shall be posted except on such board.<br />

39.03 Pamphlets, advertising, political matter, cards, notices, photographs,<br />

posters, pictures, or any kind <strong>of</strong> literature may only be posted or<br />

distributed upon the <strong>City</strong> (HSR)'s property with the permission <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong><br />

(HSR)'s management.<br />

ARTICLE 40- SAFETY COMMITTEE<br />

40.01 The <strong>Union</strong> and the Company affirm their mutual desire to maintain high<br />

standards <strong>of</strong> health, safe working practices and conditions in the work<br />

place.<br />

The <strong>Union</strong> and the Company agree to cooperate in the establishment <strong>of</strong><br />

two (2) Health and Safety Committees representing Maintenance,<br />

Administrative and Operations employees.<br />

The Maintenance and Operations/Administrative Health and Safety<br />

Committees will each consist <strong>of</strong> four (4) employees appointed by the <strong>Local</strong><br />

<strong>107</strong> <strong>Union</strong> and four (4) members appointed by the Company. Company<br />

members on the Operations/Administrative Committee will consist <strong>of</strong> two<br />

(2) Operations representatives, one (1) Maintenance representative and<br />

one (1) Planning & Scheduling representative. One person from each<br />

group <strong>of</strong> appointees will act as co-chairperson. In addition, the Safety<br />

Training Officer shall act in the capacity <strong>of</strong> Advisor to the Committees, with<br />

no voting privileges.<br />

The President <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Local</strong> <strong>107</strong> <strong>Union</strong> shall be represented on the<br />

Corporate Health and Safety Committee, which meets regularly to<br />

formulate rules and regulations relating to the safety and health <strong>of</strong> all<br />

employees.<br />

All Committees shall function in the manner from time to time prescribed<br />

under the terms and conditions <strong>of</strong> the Occupational Health and Safety Act,<br />

R.S.O.1990.<br />
