less than nine (9) months in the previous twelve (12) months.<br />
ARTICLE 32- COMPLAINTS AGAINST OPERATORS<br />
32.01 If a serious complaint is turned in about an operator, the operator will be<br />
told <strong>of</strong> the complaint within forty-eight (48) hours where possible. A<br />
member <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Union</strong> will have the right to interview the originator <strong>of</strong> a<br />
serious complaint.<br />
32.02 When an operator is called into the <strong>of</strong>fice on their <strong>of</strong>f duty time, for any<br />
cause, the operator shall have the right <strong>of</strong> seeing the Manager <strong>of</strong><br />
Operations or the <strong>City</strong> (HSR) <strong>of</strong>ficial concerned in private and paid a<br />
minimum <strong>of</strong> one (1) hour.<br />
32.03 Operators who are required to write an incident or accident report during<br />
<strong>of</strong>f-duty hours will receive the regular rate <strong>of</strong> straight time pay to a<br />
maximum <strong>of</strong> one-half (1/2) hour.<br />
ARTICLE 33 - CONVENIENCES<br />
33.01 A sanitary convenience will be provided for operators on all routes<br />
ARTICLE 34- NEW OPERATORS IN TRAINING<br />
34.01 The prospective operator hereinafter called a trainee shall be paid onehalf<br />
(½) the probationary operator's rate for time worked during the period<br />
<strong>of</strong> training, which shall not exceed six (6) working days. Having completed<br />
his/her training and gained experience on runs, to the satisfaction <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Director <strong>of</strong> Operations, he will be trained on other equipment as training<br />
time becomes available and will receive his full rate <strong>of</strong> probationer's pay<br />
for time worked, as required. Nine hundred (900) hours shall be<br />
considered a probationary period, and if satisfactory he will be taken on as<br />
a permanent Employee <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> (HSR).<br />
34.02 With either the purchase <strong>of</strong> new equipment or different types <strong>of</strong><br />
equipment, operators required to train on such equipment will be paid at<br />
their regular hourly rates <strong>of</strong> pay while so training.<br />
