Hours <strong>of</strong> Work Limits<br />

Employees may work up to but not exceed twenty-four (24) hours<br />

per week (a week being Sunday through Saturday) except when it<br />

is otherwise mutually agreed or in the case <strong>of</strong> emergencies as<br />

defined in article 22.19(e) and the mediated settlement dated<br />

February 27th 2007.<br />

• There is no guarantee <strong>of</strong> work hours.<br />

ADMINISTRATION<br />

Winddown Program Limits<br />

Employees entering the winddown program will be placed on a<br />

roster list based upon their date <strong>of</strong> entering the program or until the<br />

employee wants to withdraw their name.<br />

The employee in conjunction with their <strong>Union</strong> Representative and<br />

Management will discuss available work arrangements prior to the<br />

employee entering into the winddown program and such mutually<br />

agreeable arrangements shall not be unreasonable or arbitrarily<br />

withheld or implemented.<br />

Total number <strong>of</strong> winddown employees shall not exceed 25% <strong>of</strong> the<br />

regular full time adminisration section.<br />

Employees retiring from the <strong>City</strong> (HSR) who have retired at age<br />

fifty-five (55) or after may participate in the winddown program to a<br />

maximum <strong>of</strong> seven (7) years from the date <strong>of</strong> retirement (effective<br />

January Ist, 2013). Employees entered into the windown program<br />

prior to this date shall be grandfathered for maximum ten (10) years<br />

from the date <strong>of</strong> retirement.<br />

Employees under the winddown program must give a minimum <strong>of</strong><br />

two (2) weeks' notice <strong>of</strong> unavailability.<br />

Employees that do not perform any work fora period <strong>of</strong> six (6)<br />

continuous months may be removed from future <strong>of</strong>fers <strong>of</strong> work<br />

unless the employee's reasons for such longer time has been<br />

applied for and approved by the employer.<br />

Employees not able to enter into the program based on the above<br />

limits will be placed on a waiting list.<br />
