demand for audit purposes at anytime. Failure to do so may subject<br />

the employee to the penalties as provided in Article 4.03.<br />

(b)<br />

Any Employee handling cash shall be required to sign an<br />

undertaking confirming they will make full restitution in the event <strong>of</strong><br />

a shortage. In all cases <strong>of</strong> shortages, restitution in full must be<br />

made prior to pay-<strong>of</strong>f on discharge, or before regular duties are<br />

resumed unless the Employee is otherwise instructed. Shortages<br />

to the value <strong>of</strong> two-hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) will become<br />

a matter <strong>of</strong> record only. An Employee may be disciplined for<br />

contributory negligence or repeated shortages.<br />

ARTICLE 46 - PART TIME EMPLOYEES (IN ADMINISTRATIVE SECTION<br />

ONLY)<br />

46.01 A part-time Employee, for the purpose <strong>of</strong> this Agreement, shall be defined<br />

as an individual who works an average <strong>of</strong> twenty-eight (28) hours per<br />

week, or less, per fifty-two (52) week period. However, this shall not be<br />

construed as a guarantee <strong>of</strong> any minimum or as a restriction <strong>of</strong> any<br />

maximum number <strong>of</strong> hours worked.<br />

The Employer shall post work schedules at least two (2) weeks prior to the<br />

work week. Should changes become necessary, the Employer will give<br />

the Employee notice <strong>of</strong> such changes, <strong>of</strong> not less than two (2) working<br />

days, except in emergency situations.<br />

A part-time employee shall be entitled overtime payment at time and one<br />

half (11/2) for all work performed in excess <strong>of</strong> forty (40) hours in a work<br />

week and/or 8 hours daily.<br />

VACATION PAY AND BENEFITS<br />

The employer agrees that the employees who work thirty-five (35) hours<br />

per week continuously for twenty six (26) weeks shall be eligible to receive<br />

all benefits under this collective agreement.<br />

Payment for vacation and benefits to part-time Employees who do not<br />

qualify for the benefits under the paragraph above, shall be paid at the<br />

rate <strong>of</strong> four percent (4%) for vacation and six percent (6%) in lieu <strong>of</strong><br />

benefits <strong>of</strong> their bi-weekly earnings.<br />
