Employees who have completed one (1) full year <strong>of</strong> service<br />
shall have two (2) weeks entitlement to short-term income<br />
protection at 100% <strong>of</strong> pay;<br />
Employees who have completed two (2) years <strong>of</strong> service<br />
shall have three (3) weeks entitlement to short-term income<br />
protection at 100% <strong>of</strong> pay;<br />
Employees who have completed three (3) years <strong>of</strong> service<br />
shall have four (4) weeks entitlement to short-term income<br />
protection at 100% <strong>of</strong> pay;<br />
Employees who have completed four (4) years <strong>of</strong> service<br />
shall have five (5) weeks entitlement to short-term income<br />
protection at 100% <strong>of</strong> pay;<br />
Employees who have completed five (5) years <strong>of</strong> service<br />
shall have six (6) weeks entitlement to short-term income<br />
protection at 100% <strong>of</strong> pay;<br />
Employees who have completed six (6) years <strong>of</strong> service<br />
shall have seven (7) weeks entitlement to short-term income<br />
protection at 100% <strong>of</strong> pay;<br />
Employees who have completed twenty-five (25) years <strong>of</strong><br />
service or more shall have twenty-six (26) weeks entitlement<br />
to short-term income protection at 100% <strong>of</strong> pay;<br />
Absences extending for a time frame beyond that for which accrued<br />
100% weeks are available are covered at 66 2/3% <strong>of</strong> pay.<br />
An Employee who is not present at work on becoming eligible for<br />
additional weeks at 100% <strong>of</strong> pay shall have their entitlement<br />
increased following their return to work.<br />
(2) Benefits are not payable for the following:<br />
(i)<br />
(ii)<br />
(iii)<br />
a disability where the Employee is not under continuing<br />
medical supervision and treatment;<br />
a disability caused by intentionally self inflicted injuries or<br />
illness;<br />
a disability resulting from insurrection, war, service in the<br />
Armed Forces <strong>of</strong> any country, or participation in a riot;<br />
