(6) In emergency or unusual circumstances, any Inspector may be selected to<br />
work overtime without following the guidelines quoted in this overtime<br />
allocation procedure.<br />
(7) An Inspector may withdraw his/her name as a volunteer provided<br />
reasonable notice is given (normally three days) to the Manager <strong>of</strong><br />
Operations. When work is assigned to a volunteer, then that work must be<br />
accepted by the volunteer.<br />
(8) The Manager <strong>of</strong> Operations may assign an Acting Inspector to Point Duty<br />
on his/her regular day <strong>of</strong>f to work as may be deemed necessary,<br />
(9) If an Inspector is <strong>of</strong>f on lieu time due to budgetary restraints, an Acting<br />
Inspector can be used.<br />
(10) Inspectors on their day <strong>of</strong>f will have preference over Acting Inspectors on<br />
their day <strong>of</strong>f.<br />
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING - BOARD SCHEDULING AND SIGN-UP<br />
The parties agree to strike a committee that will meet within thirty (30) days after<br />
the ratification <strong>of</strong> this agreement to discuss any changes to the timelines<br />
contained within Article 28.01 and the implementation <strong>of</strong> any change. Any<br />
change as a result <strong>of</strong> these discussions will take effect for the 2008 sign up. It is<br />
expressly understood that this committee will not review or recommend changes<br />
to pay for sign ups.<br />
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING - UNIFORM COMMITTEE<br />
The parties agree to strike a uniform committee comprised <strong>of</strong> One (1) female and<br />
one (1) male Operator appointed by the <strong>Union</strong> for the purpose <strong>of</strong> discussing the<br />
implementation <strong>of</strong> Article 31.02. The committee will meet a maximum <strong>of</strong> two (2)<br />
times prior to the Request For Proposal (RFP) on uniform tenders.<br />
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING- AUDIONIDEO SURVEILLANCE<br />
The Company and the <strong>Union</strong> agree that the use <strong>of</strong> AudioNideo Surveillance<br />
equipment will not be used in a casual or indiscriminant manner. The use <strong>of</strong> such<br />
equipment will be for the protection, safety, security <strong>of</strong> the staff, passengers,<br />
equipment and the financial resources <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hamilton</strong>.<br />
