As with the Belgian survey, comparisons were made on several variables between the<br />

different groups. Significant differences were found on the total score of organizational<br />

climate and on three subparts of the scale. These results are quite obvious since two<br />

different organizations in two different countries are compared. It is not relevant to<br />

discuss this any further. A more interesting result, though, is what both nationalities<br />

think about the item ‘Women and men get equal opportunities concerning their careers’.<br />

The respondents from the UK marked a significantly lower score than their colleagues<br />

from Spain. A significant difference was also found on this item when comparing<br />

women and men. Women score substantially lower than men. This might be the<br />

reason for the lower score in the UK since 97 women from the UK completed the sur-
