AMERICAN PASSIFLORACEAE 467
Lower California.
In regard to P. frulicosa he says, "It has a very
loose, shrubby upright caudex, 2-4 dm. high and a few rather short,
sprawling stems. It differs from Palmeri in being smaller, more open,
and more spreading. Like Palmeri it has very oily herbage, which
stains the collecting sheets, but it differs in the amount of glands."
