Abstract: One embodiment of a thin, flat closure for plastic bags and of the type having at<br />

one edge a V-shaped notch (12) which communicates at its base with a gripping aperture (14).<br />

The base (10) of the closure is made of a flexible material so that it can be repeatedly bent,<br />

without fracturing, along an axis aligned with said notch and aperture. In addition, a layer of<br />

paper (20) is laminated on one or both sides of the closure. The axis of the base may contain<br />

one or two grooves (18) or a through-hole (26), either of which acts as a hinge to facilitate<br />

bending. Other embodiments are described and shown.<br />
