Plot Results Pie charts were developed showing the percentages of action item implementation. 3.7 DATA INVENTORY A data inventory assessment was completed as part of this project for the data to support the recommended measures. The recommended steps to complete a data inventory are listed in Section 4.3 (Priority 3). They are summarized below with notes describing how each step was accomplished specifically for the recommended performance measures. 1. All priority data sets to support key department business – Key business needs include performance reporting and asset management. The data sets were identified by referencing the performance measures matrix in Appendix B and verification of data availability and quality through interviews with data owners. 2. Data owners, stewards, stakeholders, community of interest, working groups etc. and roles/responsibilities for all. Data owners were identified based on the matrix in Appendix B and as suggested by CDOT. 3. A data catalog detailing all data programs, sources, business owners, requestors of data, data definitions, data standards, metadata standards, format, data models, and identification of IT and business subject matter experts who may be contacted regarding information about the data programs and instructions for accessing data standards and definitions used with each data program. The catalog should be updated regularly (every two to three years). 3-30 Cambridge Systematics, Inc.
