Uterine Velocimetry<br />

and Umbilical Vein Gases<br />

Soothill et al. [80] performed funicentesis and uterine<br />

velocimetry in 32 pregnancies complicated by IUGR<br />

to see if there was a correlation between the uterine<br />

circulation and fetal umbilical vein blood gases. A<br />

significant negative correlation was found between<br />

uteroplacental RI and fetal pH (r=±0.37, n=32,<br />
