5.3 Overview of the <strong>School</strong> Districts’ Facilities<br />
At the time of the conduct of the Consolidation Feasibility Study, the<br />
<strong>School</strong> District of Bruce owned and operated one teaching/learning facility:<br />
Bruce Elementary/Secondary <strong>School</strong>. Ladysmith-Hawkins <strong>School</strong> District<br />
operated three teaching/learning facilities (and one vacant<br />
teaching/learning facility): Ladysmith Elementary <strong>School</strong>; Ladysmith Middle<br />
<strong>School</strong>; and Ladysmith High <strong>School</strong> (and the non-operating Hawkins<br />
Elementary <strong>School</strong>). Weyerhaeuser Area <strong>School</strong> District operated a single<br />
teaching/learning facility: Weyerhaeuser Elementary/Secondary <strong>School</strong>.<br />
Tables 18-B, 18-LH, and 18-W below provide the dates of original<br />
construction of and additions to each of the <strong>School</strong> District of Bruce’s,<br />
Ladysmith-Hawkins <strong>School</strong> District’s, and Weyerhaeuser Area <strong>School</strong><br />
District’s facilities; the types of organizational configurations; facility square<br />
footages; 2008-09 enrollments; and 2008-09 square footages/student.<br />
