Set Up Grades on the Web
This section provides step-by-step instructions for setting up the Electronic Gradebook on
the Web. It includes the following procedures:
• “Set Up Midterm Grades” on page 5-41
• “Set Up Final Grades” on page 5-41
Set Up Midterm Grades
1. If you want midterm grades for the whole term to be available for entry on the Web,
select the Faculty Web Midterm Grades checkbox in the Base Part of Term block
on the Term Control Form (SOATERM).
2. If desired for a specific class, on the Section Web Controls Form (SSAWSEC), select
or clear the Display Midterm Grades checkbox as appropriate to override the setting
in SOATERM.
3. For grades to be displayed, in the Status Type field of the Course Registration Status
Code Validation Form (STVRSTS), enter the status code type:
• R — Registered (enrolled)
• D — Dropped
• L — Waitlisted
• W — Withdrawn
Note
If the Status Type field is left blank, unexpected results can occur.

4. If you want to limit the grades available for selection to those associated with the
student, enter Y in the External Code field for internal code GMODGRD on the
Crosswalk Validation Form (GTVSDAX).
Set Up Final Grades
1. If you want final grades for the whole term to be available for entry on the Web,
select the Faculty Web Final Term Grades checkbox in the Base Part of Term block
on the Term Control Form (SOATERM).
2. If desired for a specific class, on the Section Web Controls Form (SSAWSEC), select
or clear the Display Final Grades checkbox as appropriate to override the setting in
SOATERM.
