8. On GTVSDAX, take the following actions.
8.1. If you want all advisors to be able to access any student’s transcripts, enter Y in
the External Code field for the ALLADVR internal group.
8.2. If you want all faculty members to be able to access any student’s transcripts,
enter Y in the External Code field for the ALLFAC internal group.
8.3. If you are using value-based security instead of all-advisor and/or -faculty
control, make sure that the CHECKORDER internal group represents the
priority you want the system to use and enter Y in the External Code field for
the following internal codes:
• ADVRPIN
• FACPIN
• ADVRTYPE
• FACFATT
9. If you are using value-based security, for the TRANSCRIPT process, on the Faculty
Attribute/Advisor Type Control Form (SOAFAPC) take the following actions.
• If you want advisors to be able to access academic transcripts on the Web, associate
advisor types with the A (Advisor) role.
• If you want faculty members to be able to access academic transcripts on the Web,
associate faculty member attribute codes with the F (Faculty) role.
10. For an assigned advisor to be able to access a student’s academic transcript on the
Web, on the Multiple Advisor Form (SGAADVR), be sure to use an advisor type that
has been associated with the advisor role on SOAFAPC.
11. For a faculty member to be able to access a student’s academic transcript on the Web,
in the Faculty Attribute Block of the Faculty Information Form (SIAINST), be sure to
assign, a faculty member attribute code that has been associated with the faculty role
on SOAFAPC.
