Degree Evaluation (bwlkfcap.P_FacDispCurrent)
This page displays the curriculum for which a user can run a degree evaluation. It lists
information for a student’s curriculum program (primary and secondary). It is using this
page that the user accesses the full Degree Evaluation functionality on the Web.
A link to this page is displayed on the Student Information menu.
If your institution has set up security to require that a student’s PIN be entered before
allowing a faculty member or advisor to access degree evaluations, then before displaying
this page, the system displays the Faculty Student PIN page (bwlkilib.P_FacStuPIN), on
which the student should enter his or her PIN to authorize the access to his or her
evaluations.
Degree Evaluation allows users to access WebCAPP (Curriculum, Advising and Program
Planning on the Web). The user uses WebCAPP to audit course work against a selected
primary or secondary program offering at your institution. The user can also initiate an
audit, view results, and print degree audit reports via the Web.
The user can also generate a “What-If Analysis,” which allows him or her to generate
evaluations showing what courses need to be taken to meet a particular requirement and
which courses that have already been completed would apply to the discipline in question.
To access WebCAPP, the student must have a record on any of the following forms:
• Recruit Prospect Information Form (SRARECR)
• Admissions Application Form (SAAADMS)
• General Student Form (SGASTDN)
• Degree and Other Formal Awards Form (SHADEGR)
If a compliance hold exists for the student on the Hold Information Form (SOAHOLD),
the message This student has holds on their record is displayed. The faculty member or
advisor, however, will still be able to view the data
If a program description on the record is hyperlinked, a degree evaluation has been run
and can be viewed by selecting the hyperlink. If the program is not hyperlinked, then a
degree evaluation has not been run against that program. Other previously run
compliances can be viewed by selecting the Previous Evaluations link, which goes to the
View Degree Evaluations page (bwcksmmt.P_DispPrevEval).
If the following conditions apply, an e-mail link to the student is displayed on the page.
• The student has a primary advisor assigned to him or her for the selected term on
the Multiple Advisors Form (SGAADVR).
• The advisor has an active, preferred, and Web-displayable e-mail address on the E-
mail Address Form (GOAEMAL).
