Airesu, kot so Coro Polifónico Nacional,
Camerata Monteverdi, Camerata Vocale
in Grupo Vilo. Pevsko se je šolal pri Ivanu
Ivanovu in Victorju Srugu. Prve pomembne
solistične nastope je imel kot
član Bachove akademije v Buenos Airesu.
Izpopolnjeval se je pri raznih evropskih
mojstrih kot so W. Schöne, Ph. Huttenlocker,
A. Baldin, E. Werba in leta 1988
prejel štipendijo Shell Argentina ter v
Londonu razširil solopevski repertoar pri
sopranistki Heather Harper in pianistu
Robertu Sutherlandu. Leta 1990 je debitiral
v Veliki festivalski dvorani v Salzburgu.
Postal je član solističnega ansambla
salzburškega Deželnega gledališča in v
Mozartovem jubilejnem letu odpel vlogi
Leporella in Figara. Je dvakratni nagrajenec
pariške Academie du Disque Lyrique
in nagrajenec Prešernovega sklada.
Marcos Fink was born in Buenos Aires into
a Slovene family where singing was always
present. He graduated at the Faculty
of Agronomy in Buenos Aires. During his
studies Marcos started his vocal training
with Ivan Ivanov and Victor Srugo. He was a
member of the Slovene vocal group Karantanija
in Buenos Aires and later he joined
acknowledged vocal groups Coro Polifónico
Nacional, Camerata Monteverdi, Camerata
Vocale and Grupo Vilo. He performed his
first Major solos as member of the Bach
Academy in Buenos Aires. He perfected his
vocal abilities with various European maestros
such as W. Schöne, Ph. Huttenlocker,
A. Baldin, E. Werba and received the Shell
Argentina scholarship in 1988. The scholarship
enabled Marcos to travel to London,
where he widened his repertoire under
the guidance of soprano Heather Harper
and pianist Robert Sutherland. In 1990 he
made his opera debut in the Festival Hall
in Salzburg, Austria. Later he became ensemble
member of the Salzburg Province
Theatre, performing the part of Leporello
and Figaro during the Mozart Year 2006.
Marcos is two time laureate of the Parisian
Academie du Disque Lyrique and prizewinner
of the Prešeren Foundation.
Jon Frank
Jon Frank je umetnik, ki se ukvarja s fotografiranjem
deskanja na valovih – njegove
podobe t. i. surfanja veljajo za najboljše
na svetu. Kot snemalec je sodeloval pri
snemanju »surferskega art filma« Litmus,
med novejše projekte sodita alternativni
dokumentarec Musica Surfica, ki je prejel
nagrado za najboljši film na newyorškem
festivalu surferskega filma, in film Mick,
Myself & Eugene, posnet po knjižni predlogi
Micka Fanninga in razglašen za film
leta revije Tracks Magazine. Njegova tehnika
fotografiranja, tako iz vode kot tudi
s kopnega, je brez primerjave. Leta 2007
je bil odlikovan z nagrado za fotografijo
leta na prireditvi Surfer Poll and Video
Awards, leta 2008 pa je prejel nagrado
Australian Surfing Award. Že več kot
desetletje fotografira za revijo Surfing
World, njegove fotografije pa so krasile
že veliko različnih knjig, med drugim tudi
njegovo Waves of the Sea (Valovi morja).
Jon Frank is the artist of the surf image.
He filmed the seminal surf film Litmus and
more recently alternative surfing documentary
Musica Surfica (awarded best feature
at the New York Surf Film Festival) and Mick
Fanning’s acclaimed biopic Mick, Myself &
Eugene (awarded Film of the Year by Tracks
Magazine). His stills photography is without
peer, both from the water and on land, and
was rewarded with Photo of the Year at the
2007 Surfer Poll and Video Awards and the
2008 Australian Surfing Awards. He has
been senior photographer for Surfing World
magazine for over a decade and his images
have adorned various books, including his
own Waves of the Sea.
