Entrepreneurship<br />
Associate of Applied <strong>Science</strong>, (AAS.ENT)<br />
The Associate of Applied <strong>Science</strong> degree program in<br />
Entrepreneurship is designed to provide students with the<br />
knowledge necessary to become entrepreneurs. The<br />
program focuses on helping the student recognize business<br />
opportunities and then managing their growth.<br />
The program will provide students with fundamental<br />
training in accounting, management, marketing and<br />
communication skills. It also includes practical experience<br />
gained through interviewing and working with entrepreneurs<br />
in the community.<br />
This program will also prepare students for transfer to senior<br />
institutions that offer entrepreneurship or management baccalaureate<br />
degree programs. Students should consult the<br />
catalog of their potential future college before selecting<br />
particular courses in the program, general education, and<br />
electives.<br />
Graduates of this program should be able to:<br />
Demonstrate an understanding of how new business<br />
is started;<br />
Develop a business plan;<br />
Demonstrate the ability to analyze/resolve problems;<br />
Demonstrate an understanding of the legal and<br />
ethical decision making process;<br />
Develop effective methods to attract and retain<br />
customers in a business setting;<br />
Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain<br />
accounting systems.<br />
