<strong>Computer</strong> <strong>Science</strong><br />
Option to Liberal Arts and <strong>Science</strong>s, (AS.CSE)<br />
This program is designed to prepare graduates for transfer<br />
to four-year colleges and universities offering baccalaureate<br />
majors in computer science, information systems, and<br />
related fields.<br />
Students should consult the catalog of the college where<br />
they intend to complete their bachelor’s degree studies and<br />
enroll in courses which will meet transfer requirements.<br />
Graduates of this program should be able to:<br />
Deploy appropriate theory, practices, and tools for the<br />
specification, design, implementation, and evaluation of<br />
computer based systems.<br />
Analyze criteria and specifications appropriate to<br />
specific problems, and plan strategies for their solution.<br />
Use critical thinking skills to solve problems using a<br />
programming language.<br />
Understand and analyze algorithms.<br />
Understand and design data structures.<br />
Analyze and design fundamental hardware components<br />
of computer systems<br />
