Special Rates for Senior Adults<br />

Students age 60 years and above pay $28<br />

per credit, plus technology and supplemental<br />

fees. They will pay all applicable course<br />

fees as well as late and change fees, but no<br />

application or general fee will be charged.<br />

A waiver form must be completed, and they<br />

must provide proof of age and residency at<br />

the time of registration.<br />

Course/Materials Fees<br />

Some college courses require additional fees<br />

to pay for laboratory hours and/or additional<br />

materials required for the course.<br />

Returned Check Fee<br />

Any check returned to the college by the<br />

bank on which it is drawn, for any reason<br />

whatsoever, will incur a proc essing fee and<br />

in the future, the student’s privilege of<br />

writing personal checks to the college may<br />

be revoked.<br />

Post-dated checks will not knowingly be<br />

accepted by the college, and if returned by the<br />

bank, are subject to the returned check fee.<br />

Identification Card<br />

Each student is issued a free ID card at<br />

the time of registration. There is a fee for<br />

replacing a lost or mutilated card.<br />

Schedule Change Fee<br />

Once classes begin, a NON-REFUNDABLE fee<br />

is charged EACH time a student ADDS a<br />

class or CHANGES a section when the<br />

change is for the student’s personal<br />

convenience or for a change in instructor.<br />

of students’ financial obligations.<br />

Affordable Monthly<br />

Tuition Payments<br />

<strong>Burlington</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>College</strong> has made it<br />

easier and more affordable than ever for you<br />

to pay for your education. We offer an<br />

interest-fre e monthly payment plan for each<br />

semester. There is a $25 enrollment fee<br />

for each semester that you enroll in the<br />

payment plan. The enrollment fee amount<br />

is subject to change without notice. The<br />

enrollment fee is in addition to the down<br />

payment amount. Your monthly payments<br />

can be automatically deducted from your<br />

bank account or you can charge them to<br />

your American Express, Discover,<br />

MasterCard or VISA card. Students can<br />

apply for the payment plan via the internet.<br />

Go to www.bcc.edu and click on the<br />

section labeled “OnLine Payment”. You<br />

must be enrolled in 6 credits or more to<br />

qualify for the payment plan.<br />

The earlier you enroll, the lower your<br />

down payment and the more monthly<br />

payment plan options are available. By<br />

making monthly payments you may be<br />

able to take more classes so that you can<br />

graduate earlier. Visit the Business Office<br />

Refunds<br />

Dropped Courses<br />

A drop/add form must be completed and<br />

filed with the Registration Office by students<br />

dropping courses for any reason. Failure to<br />

follow this procedure will result in the forfeiture<br />

of any refunds.<br />

Refund amounts of 100%, 50% and 0%<br />

are based on the date the form is received<br />

by the Registration Office.<br />

Specific withdrawal dates can be obtained<br />

by contacting the Registration Office.<br />

Tuition Refunds<br />

Tuition refunds are processed during the 60<br />

working days following the last day of the<br />

official Drop/Add period. Refunds are made<br />

by check for students who paid by cash or<br />

check or by credit to students who paid by<br />

bank credit card. All check refunds are mailed<br />

to the student’s address on file. It is the<br />

student’s responsibility to see that his/her<br />

correct mailing address is on record with the<br />

college. Students with questions regarding<br />

refunds should contact the Registration Office<br />

and/or the Business Office.<br />

Exceptions and<br />

Appeals Committee<br />

The college maintains a Committee on<br />

Exceptions and Appeals for the purpose of<br />

reviewing student challenges to the college’s<br />

stated financial policies. The Committee makes<br />

its decision based on the student’s written<br />

petition as supported by appropriate documentation<br />

(i.e., verification of extended hospitalization<br />

from a doctor or hospital, transfer<br />

orders signed by a military commander, etc.).<br />

Students must have a drop status, withdrawal<br />

“W” or an administrative withdrawal “AW” for<br />

consideration.<br />

The petition should be submitted within<br />

90 days of the occurrence which necessitates<br />

the appeal. Appeals submitted after 90 days<br />

must be supported with extraordinary<br />

circumstances to be favorably considered.<br />
