Hospitality and Tourism Management<br />
Associate of <strong>Science</strong>, (AS.HOS)<br />
This program prepares students for entry level management<br />
positions in the hospitality and tourism industry. There is an<br />
emphasis on tourism and developing tourism opportunities<br />
within the State of New Jersey. In addition, this degree<br />
emphasizes ecotourism and using New Jersey’s natural<br />
resources as tourist attractions.<br />
Graduates of this program should be able to:<br />
Apply the concepts and theories of hotel and tourism<br />
operations;<br />
Analyze the best hospitality practices;<br />
Demonstrate effective written and oral communication<br />
skills;<br />
Describe the principles of what travelers look for in<br />
hospitality and tourism services;<br />
Interpret basic resort development theory;<br />
Explain food and beverage management.<br />
