Photography Certificate<br />

Certificate (CRT.PHO)<br />

The photography certificate program enables students to<br />

venture into entry-level positions in commercial, corporate,<br />

editorial, portrait, wedding, and public relations<br />

photography. In addition, graduates of the program may<br />

choose to work as a self-employed freelance photographer.<br />

Graduates of this program should be able to:<br />

Operate both traditional and digital cameras<br />

with varying formats;<br />

Use photo imaging software;<br />

Employ lab procedures in both films processing<br />

and printing;<br />

Design lighting set-ups for both studio and<br />

location photography;<br />

Operate scanners and ink jet printers;<br />

Work collaboratively with colleagues in<br />

photography and supported occupations;<br />

Develop critical thinking skills necessary to be<br />

an effective photographer;<br />

Demonstrate entry-level competence in the<br />

photography profession.<br />
