Fire Investigation Certificate<br />

(SPC.FSI)<br />

This certificate is designed to provide the<br />

technical knowledge and specific skills<br />

necessary for fire investigation to those<br />

already active in the field of firefighting and<br />

prevention as well as for those who may be<br />

interested in these areas.<br />

This program requires a minimum of 29<br />

credits. The four Fire <strong>Science</strong> (FSC)* courses<br />

are offered through the <strong>Burlington</strong> <strong>County</strong><br />

Emergency Services Training Center in<br />

Westampton. Attendance at these courses<br />

requires sponsorship by a county fire<br />

company. Applicants needing assistance for<br />

sponsorship should contact the <strong>Burlington</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> Emergency Services Training<br />

Center at (609) 702-7157. The two<br />

Criminal Justice (CRJ) courses are offered at<br />

<strong>Burlington</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>College</strong>.<br />

of program courses offered through the<br />

<strong>Burlington</strong> Emergency Services Training<br />

Center. These courses are designed for the<br />

professional education needs of firefighters as<br />

well as those interested in a career or<br />

volunteer service in the field of firefighting<br />

and prevention. Students who complete this<br />

program will develop a working understanding<br />

of the fundamentals of fire science<br />

technology and fire protection engineering<br />

using the most advanced fire science<br />

technology available.<br />
