However, the epicfighter who forgets to pick up defensive abilities maynot live to regret it. Think about Epic Toughness andArmor Skin (or Damage Reduction andFast Healing if you meet the prerequisites).Because your saving throws, particularlyagainst most spells, are yourweak point, consider and EnergyResistance.Strength is the ability score youshould increase, though you shouldboost Dexterity if you favor rangedcombat. Extra hit points always help,so Constitution is a good occasionalchoice as well.Other Options: The fighterwho focuses on ranged weaponscan ignore a little defense infavor of offensive feats such asUncanny Accuracy and Swarm ofArrows.
