Of course, many epic feats require no translation.At least one requires so much translation (ImprovedSpell Capacity) that we've done the translation for you(Improved Manifestation). Whenever a feat concernsconferring or altering a spell in some fashion, your psioniccharacter must do some translation. Sometimes thistranslation is as straightforward as changing a few names,such as in the case of Familiar Spell—for your psioniccharacter, this feat is Psicrystal Power. Likewise, ForgeEpic Ring translates to Forge Epic Universal Item (whichhappens to be shaped like a ring).Translating epic metamagic feats to epic metapsionicfeats requires that you read Spellcraft prerequisites asPsicraft. It also requires you to do a little math—insteadof casting a spell at a higher level, a psionic character paysmore power points. For every spell slot one level higherthan the spell's actual level the metamagic feat requires,the metapsionic feat requires you to pay a power pointcost equal to its standard cost +2. Thus, a metamagic featthat increases a spell's level by three levels would cost anadditional 6 power points to manifest in the metapsionicversion. Likewise, when a feat such as Improved Metamagicallows a spellcaster to “pay” one less level to use ametamagic feat, the hypothetical psionic version (ImprovedMetapsionics) allows you to pay 2 power pointsless for a given metapsionic feat you know.The Psionics Handbook has information on creating andplaying psionic characters.49
