CHAPTER 1:CHARACTERS,SKILLS & FEATSEPIC FEAT DESCRIPTIONSHere is the format for epic feat descriptions.FEAT NAME [Type of Feat]Description of what the feat does or representsin plain language.Prerequisite: A minimum abilityscore, another feat, a minimum baseattack bonus, a skill, a class feature, orsome other ability that a charactermust have in order to acquirethis feat. This entry is absentif a feat has no prerequisite.Many feats have more thanone prerequisite.Benefit: What the featenables you (the character)to do. If you have the samefeat more than once, its benefitsdo not stack unless indicatedotherwise in the description.In general, having afeat twice is the same as havingit once.Normal: What a characterwho does not have this feat islimited to or restricted fromdoing. If not having the feat causesno particular drawback, thisentry is absent.Special: Additional factsabout the feat that may behelpful when you decidewhether to acquire the feat.Additional Magic Item Space [<strong>Epic</strong>]You can wear more magic items.Benefit: Choose one type of magic item that has alimit on the number you can simultaneously wear andgain its benefit, such as ring or belt. You can now wearone more magic item of this type and also gain its benefit.Normal: Without this feat, a character is limited toone headband, hat, or helmet; one pair of eye lenses orgoggles; one cloak, cape, or mantle; one amulet, brooch,medallion, necklace, periapt, or scarab; one suit of armor;one robe; one vest, vestment, or shirt; one pair of bracersor bracelets; one pair of gloves or gauntlets; two rings;one belt; and one pair of boots.Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Eachtime you take the feat, it applies to a new type of wearablemagic item.Armor Skin [<strong>Epic</strong>]Your skin becomes like armor.Benefit: You gain a +2 natural armor bonus to ArmorClass, or your existing natural armor bonus increases by 2.This feat does not stack with any natural armor bonusgranted by magic items or nonpermanent magical effects.Special: A character can gain this feat multiple timesIts effects stack.Augmented Alchemy [<strong>Epic</strong>]You can create alchemical items and substances that aremuch more powerful than normal.Prerequisites: Int 21, Alchemy 24 ranks.Benefit: Whenever creating an alchemical item orsubstance, you can choose to make it more powerfulthan normal by adding +20 to the DC required to createit and multiplying its price by 5. If the item or substancedeals damage, double the damage dealt. If the item orsubstance doesn't deal damage, double the duration of [its effect. If the item or substance doesn't deal damageand doesn't have a specific listed duration (or has aninstantaneous duration), double all dimensions of itsarea. If the item or substance doesn't fit any of these categories,then it cannot be affected by this feat. See theAlchemy skill description earlier in this chapter formore information.Automatic Quicken Spell [<strong>Epic</strong>]You can cast any of your lesser spells with a moment'sthought.Prerequisites: Quicken Spell, Spellcraft 30 ranks, abilityto cast 9th-level arcane or divine spells.Benefit: You may cast all 0-, 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-levelspells as quickened spells without using higher-level50
