Hatedand mistrusted by his ally Fzoul, Manshoon calmlymanipulated the priest as he did all others—remainingarrogant, untouchable in his power, and faintly amusedby everything.That all came forcibly to an end in 1370 DR, whenFzoul and Lord Orgauth managed to slay Manshoon—and found themselves facing not the sole clone theyexpected but a dozen or more stasis clones Manshooncreated. No one knows who activated all the clones orwhy, but the chaos caused Faerûn to come alive withruthless evil archmages, each convinced that he was, infact, the “real” Manshoon and inexplicably compelled toslay his rival clones.Most of the clones perished in battle, and the cachesof magic items formerly hidden across Faerûn by Manshoonare now scattered into other hands. Onlythree Manshoons remain.
