'I have asked him to keep his mood <strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> mindunder control to the very end. Adi feels satisfied. Explicit instructions were given to him as to hisbehaviour on return. <strong>Baba</strong> told them all, for the first time, that he had left one thous<strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> rupees<strong>with</strong> <strong>Meher</strong>jee for each <strong>of</strong> the comp<strong>an</strong>ions 'in case I die <strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> for those whom I send back<strong>with</strong>out <strong>an</strong>y fault'. He gave a chit for money to Daulat Singh, who then bade adieu to <strong>Baba</strong><strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> the comp<strong>an</strong>ions.During this period <strong>Baba</strong> took to sweeping, washing utensils, helping in the kitchen, <strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong>carrying loads generally, <strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> continued to give instructions <strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> expl<strong>an</strong>ations <strong>of</strong> the life beforethem. On one occasion during the course <strong>of</strong> discussion, when there were some <strong>an</strong>gry remarks,<strong>Baba</strong> asked Nilu <strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> Gh<strong>an</strong>i to pinch his (<strong>Baba</strong>'s) ears.
