The main consequences of this alternative, therefore, can be summarised as follows:<br />

� There would be a considerable increase in electricity generation. The technical<br />

assessment of the project will have to determine if this increase justifies the<br />

increase in investment costs.<br />

� The power plant would pass more water through the turbines, thus reducing the<br />

"loss" of spilling.
