Fittings and welds shall be covered with heat-shrink polyethylene pipe sleeves, internallycoated with adhesive similar to that used for the piping, or shall be wrapped with hotappliedcoal tar tape. Fittings and welds shall be primed with a primer compatible with thehot-applied coal tar tape before the tape is applied.C. Cathodic Protection: Provide magnesium anodes in numbers and sizes as necessary to protectcoated underground steel piping based on actual soil resistivity at the site.
