to the <strong>role</strong>s <strong>of</strong> Sav<strong>in</strong>gs and Credit Cooperative Society to reduce and <strong>in</strong>come <strong>in</strong>equality among<br />

most population <strong>of</strong> Tanzania. Thus br<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g life improvements and general economic<br />

development <strong>of</strong> the country.<br />

Specific objective number seven was to identify the extent to which different cooperative<br />

managers at different Management levels are satisfied with the exist<strong>in</strong>g SACCOs operat<strong>in</strong>g<br />

system. This corresponds with research question number seven which asks to what extent<br />

does cooperative managers are satisfied with SACCO’s performance <strong>in</strong> Tanzania?. <strong>The</strong> study<br />

found that almost all cooperative Managers <strong>in</strong> Tanzania up to the year 2009 when this<br />

dissertation was be<strong>in</strong>g prepared, have not yet fully been satisfied with the performance <strong>of</strong><br />

SACCOs <strong>in</strong> Tanzania <strong>in</strong> relation to its (SACCOs) major objectives <strong>of</strong> us<strong>in</strong>g its organized micro<br />

loans schemes as major tool <strong>of</strong> reduc<strong>in</strong>g poverty among its members, and also at the same<br />

time <strong>in</strong>creas<strong>in</strong>g the number <strong>of</strong> members covered by these micr<strong>of</strong><strong>in</strong>ance <strong><strong>in</strong>stitutions</strong> <strong>in</strong><br />

Tanzania. This study has found that almost all <strong>of</strong>ficially recognized Sav<strong>in</strong>gs and Credit<br />

Cooperatives Societies (SACCOs) have been putt<strong>in</strong>g a lot <strong>of</strong> concentration to sav<strong>in</strong>g<br />

mobilization, loan disbursement and loan recovery, without be<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>volved to assess and<br />

evaluate members micro project performance be<strong>in</strong>g f<strong>in</strong>anced by micro loans from SACCOs.<br />

Specific objective number n<strong>in</strong>e was to make suggestions on how to design proper rural<br />

f<strong>in</strong>ancial services programs to help reduce <strong>in</strong>come poverty <strong>in</strong> most rural areas <strong>of</strong> Tanzania <strong>of</strong><br />

Tanzania. Its accompanied research question number n<strong>in</strong>e was; which type <strong>of</strong> rural f<strong>in</strong>ancial<br />

services reduces <strong>in</strong>come poverty among most rural population <strong>in</strong> Tanzania?.<br />

From a comb<strong>in</strong>ation <strong>of</strong> these study found that proper micro f<strong>in</strong>ance program suitable to<br />

reduce poverty among most rural population <strong>in</strong> Tanzania should be designed after tak<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>to<br />

considerations specifics social economic conditions and major dom<strong>in</strong>ant economic activities<br />

found <strong>in</strong> each rural areas <strong>of</strong> Tanzania. This is because though agriculture dom<strong>in</strong>ates most<br />

activities <strong>in</strong> rural area <strong>of</strong> Tanzania. <strong>The</strong>re are still wide differences <strong>of</strong> activities done <strong>in</strong> each<br />

rural area from one region to another such as <strong>in</strong>fluenced by geographical structure, climate,<br />

type <strong>of</strong> crops, culture <strong>of</strong> the people etc. As such no s<strong>in</strong>gle type <strong>of</strong> program can suit to all rural<br />

community <strong>of</strong> Tanzania.<br />
