Interagency Integrated SOPUNCLASSIFIED3.5.Within 72 hours of the disclosure of classified information, or the earliest opportunity thatthe emergency permits, but no later than 7 days after the release, the disclosing authorityshall notify the DHS Chief Security <strong>Office</strong>r <strong>and</strong> the originating agency of the information.Such notification shall include:• A description of the disclosed information;• To whom the information was disclosed;• How the information was disclosed <strong>and</strong> transmitted;• Reason for the emergency release;• How the information is being safeguarded; <strong>and</strong>• A description of the briefings provided <strong>and</strong> a copy of the nondisclosure agreementssigned.3.6.A copy of the signed nondisclosure agreements should be forwarded with the notificationreferenced in paragraph 3.5, above, or as soon thereafter as practical.3.7.Release of information pursuant to this authority does not constitute declassification thereof.123Version 8.3Interim Approval April 28, 2006
