UNCLASSIFIED2.3 Special Purpose Meetings.The Special Purpose Meetings are most applicable to larger coordination <strong>and</strong> support effortsrequiring a robust Coordination <strong>and</strong> Support Cycle, but may be useful during InitialCoordination, Support, <strong>and</strong> Assessment.2.3.1 JFO Coordination Staff MeetingCoordinate JFO Coordination Staff functions, responsibilities, <strong>and</strong> objectives. It is heldbefore the Strategy Meeting, <strong>and</strong> JFO Coordination Staff (JFO Coordination Group,Chief of Staff, External Affairs, <strong>Office</strong> of the Inspector General, Defense Coordinating<strong>Office</strong>r, JFO Section Chiefs, JFO Legal Affairs <strong>Office</strong>r, <strong>and</strong> JFO External Affairs<strong>Office</strong>r) attend.2.3.2 Coordination <strong>and</strong> Section Staff MeetingThis meeting provides an opportunity for the JFO Coordination <strong>and</strong> Section staffs (i.e.,the Section Chiefs) to gather under informal conditions (breakfast/dinner) to discussdeveloping issues.2.3.3 Business Management MeetingThis short meeting develops <strong>and</strong> updates the strategic plan for JFO-internal finance <strong>and</strong>logistical support. The agenda could include: documentation issues, cost sharing, costanalysis, finance requirements, resource procurement, <strong>and</strong> financial summary data.Attendees include: JFO Finance/Administration Section Chief, JFO Cost Unit Leader,JFO Logistics Section Chief, JFO Situation Unit Leader, <strong>and</strong> JFO Documentation UnitLeader.2.3.4 News BriefingThis meeting briefs media <strong>and</strong> the public on the most current <strong>and</strong> accurate facts. It is setup by the External Affairs <strong>Office</strong>r, moderated by a JFO Coordination Groupspokesperson (usually the External Affairs <strong>Office</strong>r), <strong>and</strong> features selected spokespersons.This briefing must be held away from the JFO. Spokespersons should be prepared by theExternal Affairs <strong>Office</strong>r to address anticipated issues.
