Sole legislative imperatives<br />

1. <br />

3. The Continuing Education and Training Colleges Act, 2006 (Act No. 16 of 2006) (CET Act) [formerly<br />

referred to as the Further Education and Training Colleges, 2006 (FET Act)] provides for the regulation of<br />

continuing education and training, the establishment of governance structures and the funding of public<br />

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges and Community Education and Training<br />

<br />

and training.<br />

5. The Skills Development Levies Act, 1999 (Act No. 9 of 1999) (SDL Act) provides for the imposition of the<br />

entrusted to the Minister of Labour by the Skills Development Levies Act and the Skills Development Act,<br />

6. It is relevant to note that the Adult Education and Training Act, 2000 (Act No. 51 of 2000) (AET Act) has<br />
