<strong>2014</strong>/<strong>15</strong> Annual Report<br />

None of the three cohorts of bursary recipients (i.e. NC(V) Level 4, N1-3 and N4-6) met the national performance<br />

<br />

underperformed. This suggests that TVET Colleges are not applying the second eligibility criteria for bursary<br />

recipients namely the academic merit criteria. In terms of the Rules and Guidelines for the Administration and<br />

Management of the DHET-TVET College Bursary Scheme<br />

and assisted in ensuring that both on-course academic support and non-academic support become compulsory,<br />

especially for bursary recipients to ensure that there are targeted interventions aimed at improving results of<br />

bursary recipients.<br />
