Rigden: First of all, according to myths of North Siberian peoples (for example, Evenks
of Stony Tungus, Ural rivers, of Ob and Yenisei river basins), the Universe is
represented by the female principle, the Great Mother of the world, the Progenitress of
all living creatures, the Universe Mistress and the mother of animals. Those peoples
believed that white shamans, making their astral journey to the higher heavenly world,
passed “the ways of all worlds of the Universe” in order to achieve completeness of their
magic powers, at that they received the main part thereof only from the heavenly
mistresses. Thus, they were endowed with the constructive power from above, or, as we
say, with the power of Allat granted to them by the world heavenly Mistress.
Secondly, in the past the sacral knowledge of the invisible world was mostly possessed
by women because they naturally feel the invisible world more subtly, by intuition. The
sacrament of creation, of new life birth is associated with woman, with the female
principle. In other words, in ancient times spiritual, sacral knowledge was kept and
communicated to future generations mostly by female shamans, and not by man
shamans. Later, exactly women were considered to be stronger than men in mastering
shamanian practices of consciousness state alterations. Scientists have discovered
numerous ancient female burial places containing various religious items, decorated
crosses, mysterious symbols, ornamented amulets, special ritual articles. There exist
many ancient stone drawings and sculptures depicting girls with flowing hair and “the
third eye” on their foreheads, and containing certain signs indicating the sacral
knowledge. Let’s take, for example, the four-thousand-year old findings in Russia, say,
on Yenisei, Lena, Angara river banks in Siberia, or pictograms from the cliffs of the
ancient, the planet’s deepest Lake Baikal.
