sacred (spiritual) knowledge on the human being was reflected, an associative parallel
was frequently drawn between the Prana energy and the fire characteristics of the Sun.
This was why people started to mark the Soul as the sun disc.
The circle also meant delimitation of the two spheres (material and spiritual). When it
came to the knowledge about the human, this indicated the information about the Soul
being, say, in an intermediate state.
Figure 19. Circle – the symbol of the Soul, of the spiritual world.
Sometimes, together with a circle, certain elements attaching dynamics to it were
depicted, such as wings, lotus petals, rays, twisting snakes, or tongues of flame. Such
images may be found in sacred symbols of Tripolye, Old Hindu, Old Egyptian, Old
Mexican, Sumerian, Old Russian cultures. Such symbols meant a person’s spiritual
growth or indicated the spiritual Knowledge (Teaching) introduced into this world by a
Creature from the spiritual world. Besides, those reflected a movement direction from
the inside to the outside, being the nature of the Soul urging the Personality to make the
choice and to seek spiritual ways in order to escape from the mater’s captivity. In their
cosmological myths the ancients often placed the entire world layout into a circle. This
pointed to creation (con-struction) of the material world by the spiritual world.
