Anastasia: For sure, the daily practice helps a lot to recognize and to correct oneself in
the process of one’s spiritual movement. If one is satisfied with only the theory, this
means making no headway and wasting the valuable life time. As the ancients used to
say, a one who flies high towards the spiritual summits gets ahead of a one walking
along the road. The one walking gets ahead of another one who crawls along the
learning path. Whereas the crawling one gets ahead of the one who stands still. To make
the first step means to start one’s movement forward, to self-comprehension.
Rigden: Quite right. The very first steps in the spiritual direction have been described
in your previous books. And, before imparting to the readers the subsequent stage of a
more profound self-improvement work, which is “the Pyramid” meditation, I shall first
tell about a simple, but very useful meditation intended for cognition of one’s four
over one’s consciousness through thoughts and emotional states.
Rigden: This is a simple meditation being basically the first step towards a conscious
acquaintance with one’s Aspects. While mastering this technique, a person learns not
only to control his or her emotional states, but also to understand the true reason of
emergence of those. Generally, in everyday life man neither notices nor traces why
various moods and emotions suddenly come over him like an ocean wave, including
anger, aggression, slyness accompanied by egoism, or fear, or sudden recollections of
the past with relevant negative information, etc. At best, man identifies such states in
himself as an obvious manifestation of the Animal nature which has already captured his
consciousness. He begins to suffer from this vicious circle of thoughts and emotions,
simultaneously intensifying those with his attention. In other words, man does not trace
the initial provocation on the part of his lateral Aspects. Whereas this meditation makes
